Black in Color - transmits IR wavelengths!
CYRO's ACRYLITEŽ GP infrared transmitting (IRT) sheet was specifically formulated for projects requiring ultraviolet (UV) and visible light blockage while allowing infrared (IR) transmission. The physical properties of this product are the same as standard ACRYLITEŽ GP sheet and thus the same fabrication techniques apply. What makes this product special is its ability to transmit light in the IR region.
Pictured above (click to enlarge) is a spectral transmission curve comparing CYRO's standard black ACRYLITEŽ GP sheet (color 9H01, formerly 199-0) to CYRO's ACRYLITEŽ GP IRT sheet (color 9C20, formerly 1146-0). A comparison of the two colors shows that standard black ACRYLITEŽ GP sheet blocks UV, visible, and IR light, while the ACRYLITEŽ GP IRT sheet blocks light in the UV and visible regions while transmitting light in the IR region.

Our CLEAR Plexiglas sheet will NOT yellow.
Don't forget to purchase some polish to clean your new sheet of Plexiglas. Never use a window cleaner on Plexiglas. The ammonia and other chemicals in the formula will cause crazing and cracking especially when exposed to sunlight.
